Our Story
When Google Plus first was launched, programmer Zane Claes created a simple website to transfer his photos from Facebook to Google Plus. At the suggestion of friends, the tool grew into a browser extension that also combined social streams together. It allowed users to see their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus and RSS feeds all in a single, unified stream – as well as share/post to all of them at once.
The tool quickly became a runaway success, achieving over 150,000 users in the first 30 days alone. Over 30,000 people "liked" the page on Facebook, and tens of thousands followed Zane on Twitter, Google Plus, or submitted their email to receive updates on the project. After implementing a subscription model to pay for the ever-growing server costs and bring the project to profitability, Zane and co-programmer Kevin Greene began to ask the user community what they wanted next.
The results were overwhelming. Users were requesting mobile applications, website plugins and much more. More importantly, they were freely suggesting that they would be willing to pay for such products while participating in open discussions about the future of the project.
It was at this time that the move to Silicon Valley was made and development of Streamified began...
And the rest, as they say, is history.
